Signal Flow

From the 50’s till now, recording studios have changed drematiclly. You can record different tracks such as vocal or instruments and not have to spend money. As long as you have a phone and a computer, you are all set. All you have to do it is play your insturments or music that you have produced, sing in your phone that is connected to your computer and put it on a software you are using. (Yes there are free softwares today such as Pro Tools First)

Professional engineers can tell the difference of a cheap microhone and a microphone that can cost a few hundred dollars. But in order to have high quality recording, there are items that must be purchased. With the gears that i have, I want to record where the clients are 100% satified with their work. But with the equipment that I have, makes it different in how i record.

Starting from the microphone, it is being sent to the preamp. After that, everything is sent though the patchbay. So with the patchbay i can send the preamp to the compressor or just to the interface. But after the compressor, i send it to the interface which is the avid hd i/o.
The reason i use the avid hd io is because it allows me to record up to 8 microphones. But after the interface, it is send to the hd native and this allows the computer to read the audio.
